Title: Fellow/Intern
Description:
MetLife and New England Financial are offering a financial fellowship experience unlike any other. In this paid summer program, you will be among a select group of 150 college students from across the United States, learning from the best minds in the business and gaining first-hand knowledge of a career in the financial industry. Furthermore, you’ll also gain vital insight into creating a personal financial plan you can use now, after graduation and beyond.
The Financial Fellowship Program will provide you with an opportunity to learn how to build a career as a Financial Services Representative. You will be provided the opportunity to learn about Marketing, Operations, and Sales. In addition, you will have both firm and academic training about the financial products that provide solutions to client needs.
In the Financial Fellowship Program, students contribute their ideas and make an impact. Learn more, apply your knowledge, make an impact and get compensated for it.
Student Criteria:
Enrolled as an undergraduate student full-time in a 4 year college or completed degree in 2010
Has completed at least 90 semester hours or the equivalent
Has a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in a 4.0 scale
Has an interest in the financial services industry
Legally authorized to work in the United States at a location where the internship is offered
Additional Requirements:
1. Participate in the Fellowship Program working up to 40 hours per week
2. Travel for four days of classes in-residence with MetLife and New England Financial professionals
3. Attend scheduled Webinars and complete training modules
4. Complete a Capstone Project (research paper) that will integrate your classroom and practical learning.
Dates: June 14th to July 30th
Salary: $10 an hour
Travel: All students will travel, at company expense, to a central location for four days of study about financial services products
